Criteria for the approval of an Assessment Quality Partner

Training Brief: Background to the training project

Background information about the project / topics area of interest should always be provided. This is extremely useful in “setting the scene” for the agency. Some of the background information you many wish to include might be as follows:

• Details of how the project came about
• Broad aims of the project
• Recent developments / brief details of timescales for the project
• Target group / audience intended for
• Who “steers” the project

If there is quite a lot of background information, it may be worth appending some of it. It is useful to indicate why you are initiating the training project and the expected outcomes in terms of practice development or contribution to health improvement goals.
